As I mentioned last time, I have some new team members to introduce to everyone! I am very happy to welcome. Sarah Tulley, our Association Services Manager, who comes to us most recently from Grantmakers In Health, Washington, DC (USA). She has a history of association management expertise, and will be taking over the day-to-day operation of the organization. She will be the lead support for the Board of Directors and all committees, except for the Diagnosis Development Committee (DDC). She will be working diligently on our conferences, set the agenda for our social media content, manage the website and its content, provide member support…and much more. Sarah started with us in May, and has already hit the ground running!

This is a new role within NANDA International, Inc. (NANDA-I), crafted to enable me, as CEO, to step out of day-to-day details and enable me to focus more on broader strategic vision, educational projects, and to free up time to enable better oversight of the revisions to the terminology, our publications, contracts, and dissemination of our work. If you need help with issues related to membership, NANDA-I products, network group affiliations – Sarah is your primary point of contact. She will also support us at various international conferences, managing our booth, handling memberships on site, and providing information related to the organization.

We have also added Courtney Trofka, as our Digital Content Specialist. Courtney will be responsible for the Diagnosis Development Committee, NANDA-I Clinical Decision Support e-Tool maintenance and updates, and managing the database for the terminology itself.

Those of you who were in attendance at the NANDA-I International Nursing Knowledge Conference recently held in Portugal, had a chance to meet these new additions to our team. Please join me in welcoming Sarah and Courtney! For a little more information on these new team members, please see our Staff webpage.

Kind regards,

T. Heather Herdman, RN, PhD, FNI
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Hortensia Castañeda-Hidalgo
