Established in 1996, the NANDA International Foundation's primary purposes are:
- To promote the development, refinement and use of standardized nursing diagnoses in patient care;
- To provide monetary grants for the development, validation and refinement of nursing diagnoses;
- To promote the study of the relationship of nursing diagnoses to interventions and patient care outcomes; and
- To promote the use of nursing diagnoses in all branches of the nursing field, including practice, administration and education
The Foundation is governed and managed separately from NANDA International, Inc. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. |
