Each year, our Diagnosis Development Committee recommends diagnosis submissions for Member Vote, which have successfully passed our Full Submission Review Process. Every three years, approved diagnosis submissions are added to the new edition of our book, NANDA International Nursing Diagnoses: Definitions and Classification.

We have recently completed our 2013 Member vote on diagnosis submission and definition change proposals.

  • Twenty-six (26) new nursing diagnoses and eight (8) nursing diagnosis
    revisions were approved.
  • Changes to all nursing diagnosis definitions were approved.
  • The Diagnosis Development Committee will confirm final diagnosis documents, in light of comments received in the voting process and in consideration of any pending Expedited Review submissions.
Our sincere thanks to all who participated in the diagnosis submission and voting process!
