2012-2014 NANDA-I Defintions and Classification

The new edition of our critical text (English version) is now available! The text contains 16 new diagnoses and 11 revisions. Importantly, this edition contains revised chapters on NANDA-I taxonomy, and slotting of diagnoses into NANDA-I & NNN taxonomies, diagnostic reasoning & conceptual clarity, and submission of new/revised diagnoses. New chapters are provided on the use of nursing diagnoses in education, clinical practice, electronic health records, nursing & health care administration, and research.

A companion website hosts related resources for students and educators. Several recommendations by readers for changes to the text were incorporated, including a table explaining changes made between versions, a “Frequently Asked Questions” section, and a wonderful beginning to a historical chronology of our nursing diagnoses, which was compiled by Betty Ackley, a long-time NANDA-I member.
