  Established in 1996, the NANDA-I Foundation's primary purposes are:
  • To promote the development, refinement and use of standardized nursing diagnoses in patient care;
  • To provide monetary grants for the development, validation and refinement of nursing diagnoses;
  • To promote the study of the relationship of nursing diagnoses to interventions and patient care
    outcomes; and
  • To promote the use of nursing diagnoses in all branches of the nursing field, including practice, administration and education
The Foundation is governed and managed separately from NANDA International. The NANDA-I Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. We welcome and appreciate donations in any amount. Thank you!

NANDA-I FOUNDATION SEEKING PROPOSALS
Application deadline March 1, 2012
The NANDA-I Foundation is seeking proposals for funding up to two research initiatives on the NANDA-I Classification and other terminologies and classifications, related to language development, testing, refinement and utilization.

Applications will be reveiwed in March 2012 by the NANDA-I Foundation Board of Directors and the NANDA-I Education and Research Committee.NANDA-I Foundation Research Grant Awards will be presented at the 2012 NANDA-I Biennial Conference in Houston, TX, and announced in the International Journal of Nursing Knowledge.
All award recipients are expected to present their findings at the 2014 NANDA-I Conference, and publish the research investigation findings in the International Journal of Nursing Knowledge.
