Nine standing committees serve the NANDA-I membership. Ad-hoc committees  and task forces are appointed by the Board of Directors, as necessary to fulfill the functions of the organization. Committee members serve 4-year terms, and may be re-elected or reappointed for one additional term. Committee chairpersons are elected by the membership at the  biennial membership meeting. A Regular Membership is required to serve on a NANDA-I committee.
