NANDA International exists to develop, refine and promote terminology that accurately reflects nurses' clinical judgments. This unique, evidence-based perspective includes social, psychological and spiritual dimensions of care.

About Our Name...
Looking for the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA)? You've found us!

In 2002, we became NANDA International (NANDA-I) to reflect worldwide use of nursing diagnosis terminology.

Though our name changed, our vision remains consistent and clear:

NANDA-I will be a global force for the development and use of nursing's standardized terminology to improve the health care of all people.
